The Hollywood Walk of Fame Walking Tour meets outside Musso & Frank Grill at 6667 Hollywood Boulevard and, according to its listing, heads down the Walk with a guide for two hours, returning to Musso’s at the end. The Hollywood Sunset Walk starts at Ovation Hollywood on Highland Avenue; its listed itinerary gives about 20 minutes to the Walk of Fame and 40 minutes to Runyon Canyon Park, so it spends more of its two hours in the hills than on the stars. None of the six is needed to see the Walk of Fame. The official site, walkoffame.com, states that “the Walk of Fame is free to all”. It is a public city sidewalk with no gates or opening hours of its own; the shops, theatres and attractions along it keep their own hours. The stars run for 1.3 miles along Hollywood Boulevard, from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue, plus Vine Street between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca Street, and the route can be walked without a guide.
